Most Customers Judge Your Business by Your Website Before They Even Talk to You.

Before anyone calls you, they look you up. What they find in those first few seconds decides whether they dial your number or the next one on the list. We build smart websites that win that moment.

Why it matters

The Sale Starts Before the First Phone Call

Every owner counts the jobs they won. The expensive number is the one nobody counts: the customers who looked you up, didn't like what they found, and called someone else. You never hear from them, so it never feels like a loss.

That's how long it takes a visitor to form an opinion of your business. The judgment lands before they've read one word about what you actually do.

Three out of four people decide whether a company is credible based on how its website looks. Not the workmanship. Not the price. The design.

More than half of mobile visitors leave if a page takes longer than three seconds to load, and most template sites take four to five.

Which one is you?

Two Ways to Lose a Job You Never Knew You Had.

Nearly every owner we speak to is standing in one of these two spots. Both cost the same thing: the customer who was ready to hire, and hired someone else.

Situation A

“I don't have a website.”

  • They can't find you. They don't call you.
  • They choose the competitor instead.
  • You never even knew you lost it.
Situation B

“I have a website… from 2016.”

  • Slow. Outdated. Hard to trust.
  • They compare. You lose.
  • The cost is real. You just can't see it.

Theme vs custom

Wix and WordPress vs a D1 Custom Build

Most websites are a theme somebody bought, a page builder and a stack of plugins. Ours are drawn for your business and written in code, then served from the network nearest your customer. Here is what that changes, without the sales pitch.

Design

A theme thousands of other businesses bought, with your logo dropped into the header. The layout was decided before anyone knew what you do.

Drawn for your company first, then coded. Your colors, your people, your work, and pages laid out in the order a customer actually decides.

How a page loads

Built on the spot for every visit. A database query, a theme and the builder's own code all run before the first pixel shows.

Built once, ahead of time, and served as finished HTML from the server nearest the visitor. Nothing is assembled on the way.

What the phone downloads

The full theme's styles and scripts, plus a script from every plugin, whether that page uses them or not.

Only what that page needs. Every kilobyte is there because we put it there.

Speed and Core Web Vitals

Passing Google's speed checks usually means a caching plugin, an image plugin and a speed plugin, fighting each other.

Fast by construction, and checked against Google's speed test before it goes live. Nothing sits between the HTML and the screen.

AI SEO structure

An SEO plugin stamps the same title pattern on every page. A new city page means copying another page by hand, one at a time.

Structured data written per page, and a page for every city and service generated from your data, hundreds if you need them. That is how A Plus Moving reached 1,507 pages indexed.

What happens to a lead

A form plugin emails an inbox. If you are on a job when the phone rings, that lead is calling the next company on the list.

Every form lands in your CRM pipeline with its source attached, and a missed call gets a text back automatically, before they call the next company.

Security and upkeep

An admin login, a database and a stack of plugins that each need updating. One skipped update is how sites get hacked or quietly break.

No admin login to guess, no database to breach, no plugins to update. Static files on a global network, so there is nothing to patch on a Tuesday night.

Who owns it

On Wix the site lives on Wix and leaves only as screenshots. On WordPress you own the files, but every premium theme and plugin comes with a yearly license.

The code, the domain and the data are yours, with every login handed over. If you ever leave, the site leaves with you.

When WordPress is the right call

If you or your office change pages every week, a clean WordPress build on a light theme is honest work, and we build those too. If the site changes a few times a year and you care more about speed, AI SEO and leads, custom is the better buy.

See What a Smart Website Could Do for Your Business Before You Spend a Dollar

Twenty minutes on a call. You don't need to prepare anything, and there's nothing to install.

  • A mockup-level look at what your website could be: your trade, your towns, your name on it.
  • Your market, mapped: what your competitors rank for, and where the openings are.
  • A straight answer on cost and timeline, on the call, before you commit to anything.

We hand-build every site, so we take a limited number of new builds each month. Booking a time holds your spot. It doesn't commit you to anything.
